Lovita moderated “The Business of Practicing Law in the New Millennium: Understanding Law Firm Economics and Knowing How to “Put Yourself Out There” at the 12th Annual Leadership Institute for Women of Color Attorneys Conference.
Georgia Trend's Legal Elite are selected by fellow attorneys from across the state. Lovita is one of 506 attorneys recognized in the state and one of 42 recognized for her work as an employment law attorney.
Lovita Tandy co-developed and participated in the Sedona Conference’s first diversity related CLE panel. The presentation on Understanding Micro-Aggressions took place at The Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention & Production’s (WG1) 2016 Annual Meeting.
Lovita taught a CLE on Gender in Negotiations during the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys’ (GABWA) week long excursion to Dubai. Participants learned about prevalent theories about gender differences in negotiations, current research of women’s negotiation styles when negotiating on behalf of clients and others versus when negotiating for themselves, and discussed general strategies for negotiation success. Lovita’s presentation was part of a day-long CLE program hosted by King & Spalding’s Dubai office.
